A third new product, Discovery’s Hot Pepper Sauce, will be launched in the summer, with a view to increasing variety at the fixture.
The Mexican category has seen a growth rate of 3.8% in the last year and is now worth £159.1m.
Bhavika Thakrar, senior brand manager at Discovery Foods, said: “Continuous product development is key to category growth, and as a key player in the market, we are constantly looking to update and develop the flavour profiles of existing Discovery classics.”
Garlic & Herb Soured Cream has an RRP in the UK of £1.99, while Yellow Jalapeños has an RRP of £1.39. The Hot Pepper Sauce will roll out from June 2013 priced at RRP £1.49.
