Good Grain has relaunched its healthy cereal offering in the UK, with a completely updated look and feel.
The revamp comes after Monster Brands – the brand division of the Brecks food company – acquired the Good Grain brand from Halo Foods last year.
Good Grain’s existing puffed wheat cereal will be available with the new packaging, which has been created to highlight the natural and honest ingredients found in each pack. A newly modernised pack design and on-pack artwork will encourage consumers to personalise their breakfast experience by including their own toppings.
Two new cereals
The brand has also launched two new cereals: Good Grain multi-grain and Good Grain multi-grain cherry.
The multi-grain cereal is a simple mix of barley, rye and durum wheat, while the cherry flavour swaps out the durum wheat for pieces of real cherry.
All three will be ‘accessibly priced’ at a recommended £1.99 per box and available in UK retail from this month.
Brecks managing director of brands Gary Lewis said: “The cereal market has undergone intense scrutiny over the past year, leaving consumers uncertain of which products they can trust and enjoy in order to get a good start to the day. Good Grain has been redesigned to help change breakfast habits and give shoppers the option of a tasty but healthy cereal at an accessible price.
“Good Grain is a modern product that is perfect for today’s modern consumer and will strip back the confusing messages to give consumers a breakfast they can make their own. Challenging the perception that healthy cereal has to be bland or expensive, we’re confident Good Grain will take the category in an exciting new direction by appealing to the modern time-pressed yet health-conscious consumer.”
The cereals’ relaunch will be supported by a social media campaign with relaunched social media channels for the brand. There will also be an update to its website.
Monster Brands is already working on new additions to the Good Grain range, as it looks to expand the category and give consumers greater choice in simple, natural cereals.
