Jascots Wine Merchants have unveiled 47 new wines to the UK on-trade market.
The new wines include 12 additional varietals and wines from 11 countries to add to their ever expanding portfolio.
Miles MacInnes managing partner said: “This launch represents an exciting new development to our portfolio, building on the 26 new wines we introduced last year to make our current selection the most complete that we have offered”
The new selection was inspired by Jascots’ on-trade research, which examined the wine lists from independent restaurants, hotels and caterers to uncover trends in wine style, origin and pricing.
Adam Porter head of buying and marketing said: “After concluding our last wave of research, we drew up our target list and tasted nearly 1500 wines before narrowing it down to 47 that were the best suited in terms of quality and value for our UK On-Trade clients.
“Especially following the Brexit vote, we realised it is now more important than ever to be in tune with trends of smaller independent hospitality operators so we can offer sound advice on the competitive landscape and tailor our offerings to fit the wants and needs of clients.”
