Jones Soda targets vegans with Tofurky and Gravy
Bucking its usual holiday flavour trend, Jones Soda won’t be talking turkey this Thanksgiving.
The Seattle-based speciality soda brand known for its offbeat seasonal flavours such as Turkey and Gravy is appealing to vegans this Thanksgiving with a limited edition Tofurky and Gravy drink.
Jones says its vegan-friendly, sugar-free drink is based on a recipe from Oregon-based vegetarian product specialist Tofurky.
“Some people are crazy for turkey around the holidays … others not so much,” says the Jones Soda website. “For those of you with veggie leanings, Jones teamed up with the good folks at Tofurky to bring you a meatless option. We created this special soda for all you veg-heads out there. Best served with mashed potatoes and a couple of laughs, we hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoyed making it.”
In a special promotion, Jones is providing three bottles of its new zero-calorie Jones Zilch soda with each three-pack Tofurky drink purchase, delivered in a limited edition Tofurkey metal lunch box. The promotion has a charitable edge, too, with $1 from each purchase promised to the animal charity Paws.
