The ‘retro’ soft drink – made infamous by comedian Peter Kay – has recently undergone a rebrand and redefined its taste profile.
Maurice Newton, sales and marketing director at CBL Drinks, said: “We felt that with high branded cola market pricing, reintroduction was an opportunity that offered genuine value for consumers and an opportunity for trade customers. Value for money is a critical factor for shoppers so the opportunity to make a great-tasting cola at a good price just had to be addressed.”
The rebrand was necessary for Rola Cola as CBL really wanted to emphasise the ‘retro’ feel the drink represents while adding a modern edge.
Rola Cola is available in 500ml plastic bottles with a maximum RSP of 49p.
