Danone has expanded its Light & Free range of yogurts by adding two flavours of Icelandic-style skyr yogurt to its product portfolio.
The Light & Free Skyr Icelandic Style Yogurt range is available in blueberry blast and raspberry razzle flavours and is now stocked in Tesco supermarkets in the UK.
Both flavours are set for nationwide release on 5 March 2018.
Packaged in single-use 150g tubs, the yogurts are targeted at consumers who want a convenient snack when they’re on the go.
Each yogurt contains 0% artificially added sugar and 0% fat, boasts 14g of protein and 81 calories per pot, while real fruit is used to flavour the yogurts.
Prabha Cheemalapati, brand marketing manager at Light and Free, said: “We are incredibly proud of the rapid growth of our Light & Free range and are thrilled to bring our consumers a new product experience to enjoy!
Reception of the Light & Free range has been well beyond our expectations, truly showcasing the consumer demand for products without added sugars or fat.
“With our new Skyr Icelandic Style Yogurt, we’re able to offer consumers a convenient and delicious way to snack, with 14g of protein in every pot, tapping into this growth area within the category.”
Danone’s Light & Free Skyr Icelandic Style Yogurts have a suggested retail price of £0.95.
