Funding from Eden Springs will secure the provision of drinking water supply systems in three secondary schools in the Uru district of Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.
Approximately 1,000 school children and a further 7,500 residents in the surrounding communities will have access to a clean drinking water supply. Headquartered in Switzerland, Eden Springs serves 15 European countries with water coolers and other drinking solutions.
Eden Springs, CEO, Raanan Zilberman, said: “We spent a lot of time looking for the right partner and it was important that they shared our values and ‘can do’ attitude. People help People – One World has been established in Tanzania since 1985 and has helped to transform living conditions for hundreds of thousands of people across the country.”
While Eden Springs has pledged to donate at least €30,000 each year in support of the three projects, the water cooler company is also engaging with its employees in 15 European businesses to ensure that further funds are raised for the charity at a local level.
Zilberman added: “Through regular updates from People help People we will be able to see how our support is making a real difference to people’s lives.”
