Bevco unveiled its new vending water dispensing system at this year’s Venditalia in Milan, as the company aims to encourage consumers to use refillable bottles.
Called Källa, the machine is suitable for use in public spaces such as parks and urban areas, as well as offices and airport departure lounges.
Kader Raiss, international business development at WaterLine and Bevco Group, told Jules Scully that the design and appearance of the dispenser aims to highlight the quality of the water available.
“It’s definitely important that we value the product that is water,” he said. “Why put it in the corner when you can promote it? We are very proud of dispensing water that is at least the same quality as any water bottle in the market.
“With the digital screen and the dispending area, we are trying to put in evidence the quality of the water, so that people trust the machine and they have all the information necessary to be confident that we are bringing the best quality water possible.”
The machines dispense still, sparkling and cold water and can be configured to pour fixed or custom quantities. Bevco said the dispensers will be available as of July this year.
