US-based Floyd’s Spiked Beverages have unveiled two new products at the NBWA Show in Las Vegas this week: alcohol-infused cherries and CBD cherries, as it aims to evolve the spiked beverage category.
Floyd’s Spiked Cherries are infused with alcohol from cold brew fermented sugar, while its Chillin Cherries contains 125mg of plant-based cannabinoids (CBD) and 0.0% THC per 375ml jar. The company offers two strengths of Spiked Cherries, with an ABV of either 5.5% or 10% available in 348ml jars.
According to Floyd’s, it uses colossal maraschino cherries that are grown and handpicked by local USA farmers and can be added to any alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink or dessert.
At last years NBWA show, Floyd’s launched its Spiked Teas & Lemonade with an ABV of 5%. The spirit-infused tea and lemonade offers consumers a gluten-free beverage with low sugar at 120 calories per can.
Floyd’s Spiked Beverages president Greg Howard said: “Floyd’s is about connecting and listening to consumers. The message is clear, consumers want better-for-you drinks that taste great.
“This past year has been about ‘liquid to lips,’ once people try it, they love it and become our best ambassadors helping us to kick it with Floyd’s.”
