Gin D’Azur has launched its first product in the UK, a new premium gin which is produced using ‘traditional French distillation methods.’
Named after the Côte D’Azur region of France, the new Gin D’Azur premium gin is produced in a distillery in Saint Sauvant, Cognac using locally-sourced ingredients.
The gin features a blend of botanicals including thyme, rosemary and lavender from Provence, marjoram from Alpes-Maritimes and Menton lemon peel finished with salt and star anise from the Camargue region.
Each botanical ingredient is then distilled separately in an Alambic Charentais in order to create a “customised profile” for each botanical, enhancing the aromatic qualities of each ingredient.
Paul Caris, maître de chai at the Saint Sauvant distillery, said: “I am delighted to officially launch France’s premium gin; the finest ingredients from the iconic Côte D’Azur have been hand-picked and distilled through classical yet innovative techniques resulting in a convivial spirited gin.”
The 43% ABV Gin D’Azur premium gin is packaged in a 70cl bottle, and is available in the UK with a suggested retail price of £39.95.
