UK baking company Doves Farm has added to its range of organic flours with an Organic Coconut Flour to meet increased demand for alternative flours.
Made using Sri Lankan coconuts, the Organic Coconut Flour is Soil Association organic certified, Vegan Society certified and Coeliac UK certified.
The flour, which is reportedly high in fibre and protein, will appeal to those looking for alternative flours with nutritional credentials or those following a Keto diet.
According to Doves Farm, the flour can be used to create cakes, cookies, pancakes, waffles, pastry and much more.
Founder of Doves Farm Clare Marriage said: “Our new Organic Coconut Flour allows consumers to take their baking to the next level. In addition to adding new tastes and textures to bakes, the flour also provides a number of nutrition benefits, which will appeal to health-conscious consumers.”
The launch of the Organic Coconut Flour coincides with Doves Farm’s brand refresh across its range of organic flours, biscuits and baking essentials. Featuring a bright colour palette with modern illustrations, the new look intends to communicate its organic heritage and help make the organic flour category more accessible.
Marriage added: “We know the primary reason people up and down the country bake is for enjoyment, but the home baking category can seem quite traditional to those browsing the flour aisle. It’s also clear people are increasingly looking for foods which have been sustainably produced, such as those with an organic certification.
“Our new look is a vibrant, modern celebration of home baking and organic, and the joy that is associated with both – we are thoroughly excited to add a little bit of colour to the baking category.”
Doves Farm’s new coconut flour is available to purchase from major retailers and wholesalers across the UK for an RRP of £3.75 per 500g bag.
