Small-batch cocktail company, Lockdown Liquor & Co., has announced a partnership with Seedlip to launch a bottled non-alcoholic picante.
The Grove Picante features Seedlip Grove 42, lime, chili, agave nectar, orange blossom water and coriander, and reportedly marks Seedlip’s first collaboration with an external cocktail company.
The new blend, which was produced by Lockdown Liquor with the support of Seedlip’s mixologist, aims to replicate the taste of the classic picante cocktail. Seedlip’s Grove 42 features a blend of three types of orange with notes of ginger and lemongrass, and proved to be ‘the perfect foundation’, according to Lockdown Liquor.
The Grove Picante can be enjoyed over ice, garnished with the top end of a chili.
Stewart Howard, head of advocacy at Seedlip, said: “This exciting innovation is a testament to how the desire for non-alcoholic cocktails has grown, particularly at home where people are looking for sophisticated drinks without alcohol.
“The Grove Picante has great flavour, depth and balance with the added benefit of consistency. We’re thrilled with the quality of the drink and can’t wait to hear what our consumers think.”
Natasha and Jack Durling, who founded Lockdown Liquor & Co. earlier this year, added: “It was always part of our growth plan to expand into the no/low sector and market leaders Seedlip were naturally our preferred partner.”
Priced at £25 per 500ml bottle, the new non-alcoholic picante is launching via Lockdown Liquor’s website.
