Brenton, powered by Pro Mach, is set to unveil the BrentonPro Mach-2 Flexible Case Packer for flexible packaging – stand-up pouches, snack bags and stickpacks – at Pack Expo 2014.
This side load case packer can accommodate RSCs, HSCs and display ready trays. With a dual-indexing option, this all servo-controlled machine is rated at up to 45 cases per minute and features a small footprint to conserve floor space. A light-weight aluminum guard package is built into the frame of the machine, which contributes to the smaller footprint and eliminates gaps that can pose sanitary issues. A walk-in design allows easy access into the machine for cleaning and maintenance.
The BrentonPro Mach-2 Flexible Case Packer at Pack Expo will be integrated into an active case packing/palletising demonstration. This machine will pack liquid filled stand-up pouches; standing the pouches up, collating them into a pattern, and pushing the pattern into a tray. The trays will be shrink wrapped by the new Triad system from Tekkra and then palletised by a Currie by Brenton MasterPal robotic palletised.
“We enhanced the Mach 2’s design for co-packers and brand owners who want the flexibility of utilising one side-load case packer for both tray packing and case packing.” said Jason Enninga, vice president of sales, Brenton. “Customers will also be interested in this new machine because of its proven Mach-2 series technology and ruggedness. Plus Brenton, through its association with sister Pro Mach businesses, provides a one-stop-shop for complete end-of-line systems – sales, project management, machine integration, and Factory Acceptance Testing.”
