The individual portions of liquid squash concentrate in a tear-and-pour stick are portioned for 500ml bottles of water.
Squash Stix hopes to see the same success it has found with its product for cups, which is currently used by businesses such as hotels, hospitals, at water coolers and within catering.
The new product offers customers the opportunity to flavour their water at a low cost and joins the recent push by drinks firms marketing water enhancers within the UK. The water enhancer market is rapidly expanding within the UK, on the back of the success in the US.
Squash Stix founder Tom Anderson-Dixon said the product offers the only single portion concentrate, differing from firms selling mini portions delivering around 20 drinks. The Squash Stix concept allows portion control and the sale of one portion of squash thus preventing customers from being forced to buy more than they require.
Squash Stix for Bottles has no artificial colours or flavourings, no added sugar or aspartame and contains vitamin C.
One small box of Squash Stix holds 200 individual portions – the equivalent of 25 bottles of squash. The product therefore offers a huge saving in packaging waste to landfill, storage space occupied and weight transported.
