Independent tests (by Campden Bri and Bibra) show that FriPura’s filter extends the life of cooking oil, generating significant savings on the cost of deep fat fryer oils as well as cutting the volume and environmental impact of oil being sent for waste.
It also improves the quality of the food being fried and reduces associated health risks. The filter does this by removing some of the harmful elements, naturally present and created during the frying process, and reducing the amount of oil absorbed by the food.
The filter – licensed and developed by Hull-based FriPura – is a small ceramic block suitable for use by pubs, restaurants and other commercial kitchens using large quantities of cooking oil. It sits in the bottom of fryers and doubles the life of deep fat fryer oil before it needs to be changed.
