This year’s Water Innovation Awards have been a huge success, with entries received from over 30 countries. At a special event in London, the judging panel reviewed every entry, and after much deliberation, selected finalists and winners in all 12 categories.
The results will be revealed at a special Awards Gala Dinner during the 7th Global Bottled Congress in Gleneagles, Scotland on 2 November. The 2010 Water Innovation Awards Showcase magazine, featuring every entry, will be seen for the first time at the event and will also be available to every reader of Water Innovation magazine at the end of November. There’s still time to book tickets for the Congress and the Awards dinner. For more information, click here.
I was impressed with the entries in this year’s truly international competition and never ceased to be amazed by the industry’s ingenuity and creativity. There are some unexpected products and a few surprises, so ensure you attend the Awards Gala Dinner or subscribe to Water Innovation to see the best the global bottled water industry has to offer.
Alongside beautiful and practical designs in glass and PET, some unusual flavours and category blurring functionality, the industry has once again demonstrated its technical prowess, intuitive response to developing consumer needs and an ongoing responsibility for sustainability and the environment.
The ‘Best label or decorative finish’ category is sponsored by Stora Enso, and the ‘Best environmental sustainability initiative’ category is sponsored by Highland Spring.
We look forward to seeing you in Gleneagles, where all will be revealed.
