So Delicious has extended its range of dairy-free beverages with new coconut varieties, launched as an alternative to milk products.
The new coconut drink is dairy-free and contains only non-genetically modified ingredients; it follows the brand’s latest pumpkin spice, eggnog and mint chocolate flavour innovations, which are available in the new Combifit Midi range of aseptic carton packs from beverage packaging manufacturer SIG Combibloc.
The product offers the ideal alternative to consumers who are increasingly looking to avoid dairy products, the company said. Last month, we reported that coconut water consumption was set to reach the 25m mark before the end of the year, as health-conscious and principled consumers increasingly move away from dairy drinks.
Mike Murray, vice president marketing/research and development for So Delicious Dairy Free, said: “Our company philosophy is based on treating everything with respect – people, animals and plants. For that reason, we’ve specialised in dairy-free products made from ingredients that are proven GM-free”
“Many people prefer the taste of almond and coconut milk, and often consumers also like the texture of the products better than that of other dairy-free products. At the same time, these days many people have a sceptical attitude towards soy products, in terms of genetic modifications. When consuming almond and coconut milk, it’s a completely different story. We guarantee consumers that our products are made exclusively from GM-free ingredients.”
