US-based drinks brand Honest Tea is expanding its product portfolio with a new range of unsweetened, caffeine-free herbal iced teas and zero-calorie sodas.
The new product lines will launch into natural food stores and natural food aisles of mainstream grocers across the US next month.
Honest Fizz organic golden ginger ale is sweetened with a combination of organic stevia and erythritol, and joins the brand’s existing lemon and lime, cherry, root beer and orange varieties. It will retail for between $4.99 and $5.99 for packs of six 12fl oz cans, or between $0.99 and $1.25 individually.
The new ginger oasis and cinnamon sunrise herbal tea varieties respectively combine organic Indian ginger, green rooibos and Egyptian lemongrass; and Vietnamese cinnamon and Fairtrade red rooibos. 16fl oz glass bottles will retail individually for between $1.49 and $1.79. All of the products are USDA organic certified.
Co-founder Seth Goldman said: “We’ve been tinkering with unsweetened drinks long enough to know how challenging it can be to create a satisfying taste. These herbal teas feel more complete than any zero calorie drink we’ve ever created, and the Honest Fizz golden ginger ale has already become an office favourite.
“When we launched Honest Fizz three years ago we made a long-term commitment to convert the line over to organic certification. We’ve been working with our ingredient and packaging suppliers to make our entire Fizz line affordable, organic and delicious. It’s another step in our ongoing journey to democratise organics.”
