Independent London tea company Joe’s Tea Co. has announced the expansion of its organic tea portfolio with the addition of ten loose leaf varieties of its existing teas.
The brand’s English, Earl Grey, queen of green, whiter than white, peppermint, chamomile, lemon, berry best, minted-up fruit and chocca-roo-brew varieties will now be available in loose leaf formats.
Joe’s Tea Co. is also introducing two new green tea blends especially for the range: they are Jasmine’s Green Tea – a fragrant fusion of jasmine and green tea – and Sencha Green Tea, which is “a sweet and salty, yet balanced, tea with a flavour of freshly cut grass and seaweed”.
It is also introducing a new single-serve matchbox packaging format for the hotel channel, “perfect for hoteliers looking to treat their guests with a tea to write home about”. The company claimed that the “beautifully designed mini-packaging” offers both convenience and quality, and will be exhibited alongside the new loose leaf teas at the International Food Exhibition in London later this month.
Joe’s Tea Co. founder Joe Kinch said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be expanding our range of products. We have very good relationships with our customers across the board and we’ve seen a growing demand for a loose leaf and single serve range so that’s exactly what we’ve created. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a quality cup of tea, however they wish to make it.”
The company added: “The good-to-go fuso bags are made out of corn starch meaning they’re 100% biodegradable and internationally Joe’s Tea Co. is always transported by land or sea, rather than by air. Joe’s tea bridges the gap between pretentious tea slurping and the builders tea with accessible, fuss-free tea that doesn’t compromise on quality.”
