The new formats add to Talenti’s existing pint-sized range.
Unilever-owned gelato brand Talenti has made a range of its flavours available in new quart and half gallon size formats.
The brand’s caramel apple pie, caramel cookie crunch, coffee chocolate chip, double dark chocolate, peppermint bark and southern butter pecan varieties will now be available in the new quart size, which is equivalent to 950ml. In addition, its sea salt caramel and Tahitian vanilla bean gelatos will be available in both quart and half gallon sizes. Both formats consist of a transparent plastic container with screw-on lid.
The new offering will be available from major retailers across the US with recommended retail prices of between $8.99 and $9.99 for quart sizes, and between $14.99 and $16.99 for half gallon sizes.
The expansion follows the introduction of seven new flavours to Talenti’s pint-sized range – including chocolate chip cookie dough, raspberry cheesecake and tiramisu. Talenti was acquired by food giant Unilever in December last year but continues to operate independently.
Talenti CEO Steve Gill said: “We’ve heard it time and time again from our fans: by the time they get to the bottom of the pint, they’re still craving one last bite. Our response: let’s give them more of what they love, the same premium ingredients, in sizes large enough for the whole gang to enjoy.”
Talenti founder Josh Hochschuler added: “We know our fans love the timelessness of classic desserts, so we wanted to honour these all-time favourites by adding our own special Talenti twist. We’re thrilled to create modern sweets that offer consumers the best of both worlds: their favourite dessert reimagined into a delicious pint of gelato.”
