Consumers can look forward to dishes such as this ham, honey and fig canapé.
Lurpak will offer consumers at ten London locations the chance to sample Lurpak at its very best when the brand takes its freestyle food truck on the road, as part of a new month-long sampling campaign.
The food truck will serve up a range of freestyle sandwiches and crostini-style canapés to members of the public free of charge, as it seeks to shake up the country’s existing food routines. It cited research that suggested three in ten British consumers eat the same thing for lunch every working day.
Lurpak will also launch a competition to find the country’s best freestyle food creators, giving consumers across the country the chance to submit their best freestyle dish and be in with a chance of winning a limited edition Lurpak hamper.
Lurpak’s Jessica Hardcastle said: “Good food need not be difficult or time consuming, but can happen when inspiration strikes and instinct takes over. From 23 June, our Lurpak food truck will be touring London offering good food lovers a free lunch boasting a range of freestyle combinations. From peach and ricotta on raisin bread, to bacon, kale and avocado sandwiches, it’s all about trying something new. No recipe, no plan, no carefully measured ingredients. That’s freestyle.”
Food psychologist Greg Tucker added: “New tastes and experiences can excite and motivate us, especially when we have a far greater selection of foods to experiment with than we’ve ever had before. After all, classic sandwich fillings like cheese, ham and chicken can now be enjoyed in so many different ways.”
