GEA Process Engineering has acquired Scan-Vibro A/S from Svendborg in Denmark. The acquisition is described by GEA as ‘a perfect match’.
Both companies feel that this acquisition will enable them to grow and meet rising demands in the market more efficiently.
Scan-Vibro has been a longtime partner and supplier to GEA Process Engineering on several projects around the world. Last year, Scan-Vibro was a supplier to the world’s largest spray dryer installation completed by GEA Process Engineering in New Zealand.
“It’s a great pleasure for us to announce the acquisition of Scan-Vibro, which is a perfect partner for GEA Process Engineering and a company we have been working with for years,” said Niels-Erik Olsen, managing director of GEA Process Engineering operations in Soeborg. “The technology of Scan-Vibro fits well into our global offering and we look forward to developing Scan-Vibro further.”
“This is really a good day for Scan-Vibro,” said Steen Larsen, MD and former co-owner of Scan-Vibro. “By joining the GEA family, we can exploit the synergies of being part of a large, global organisation and thereby grow Scan-Vibro, which will be to the advantage for the company, our employees and our customers.”
The vibration technology of Scan-Vibro is the last technology in powder processing that now becomes a part of GEA’s scope of supply. GEA has been the leading supplier of complete processing lines, and the Scan-Vibro vibration technology will now complete the picture and strengthen GEA’s global leadership position within food drying systems.
In future, the company will operate under the brand name GEA Scan-Vibro.
