Ethical craft cola brand Karma Cola has launched a new 250ml can format to sit alongside its existing glass bottle option.
The new packaging will be rolled out across its Karma Cola, Gingerella ginger ale and Lemony lemonade brands. The snack-size format is smaller than a standard canned soft drink size to appeal to the growing on-the-go market, as well as offering on-trade operators organic and ethically sourced mixers for their cocktails to accentuate the flavours of craft and premium spirits.
The cans will retail individually with a recommended retail price of £1.25, but are also available in a four-count multipack with a recommended retail price of £3.95 each.
Unlike other soft drinks, the Karma Cola family is made with natural organic and Fairtrade ingredients, including organic cane sugar, real cola nut, vanilla, lemon and ginger, and no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives.
The producer is making a big difference for cola nut farmers in a small village in Sierra Leone, sending part of the proceeds from the sale of every product back to invest in community projects. By sourcing Fairtrade cane sugar, it helps small-scale sugar farmers in India to be paid fairly for their crops, feed their families and create better lives for their communities.
