Halewood Wines & Spirits have added a Sicilian-inspired blood orange variant to its iconic Whitley Neill range.
The new blood orange vodka is expected to capitalise on the spectacular success of the African-inspired Whitley Neill Gin.
The Whitley Neill brand has now expanded into the vodka category for the first time, building on eight generations of distilling within the Whitley Neill family tree.
Whitley Neill blood orange vodka produces a mixture of zesty Sicilian orange aromas combined with earthy spices to form a liquid which is smooth enough to be enjoyed neat, or as a base for a range of popular vodka cocktails.
Brand manager for Whitley Neill Tina Connolly said: “The Whitley Neill brand is all about the essence of discovery and using unique flavour combinations to deliver distinctive new tastes and experiences for consumers.
“We’ve created a particularly smooth liquid for Whitley Neill Blood Orange Vodka, which taps into both the growing premium vodka category* and current consumer trends for orange flavoured spirits, allowing bartenders to craft a mixture of serves.
“The bright orange bottle will also create significant stand-out on shelf and attract new consumers to the premium vodka category.”
The blood orange flavour is available in 5 and 70cl bottles with a 43% ABV and recommended retail price of £26.
