British snack food start-up Brave has launched its first range of roasted peas, available in three flavours.
Founded by vegan husband and wife duo Seb and Amber Fraser-Sokol, the brand aims to exploit a gap in the market for high-in-protein savoury snacks.
Sourced and produced in the UK, Brave has a local supply chain, with all peas in the range harvested, roasted and packed within three hours of its London office.
The vegan-friendly range is available in three flavours: sea salt, paprika and chilli, and garlic and chive.
The company claims its roasted peas form a perfectly-balanced snack as they have ‘more protein than cashews and fewer calories and less fat than popcorn’.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Amber Fraser-Sokol said: “We started Brave with the aim of inspiring positive change through good nutrition, being active and living sustainably.
“Making a change takes courage and is often a leap of faith and we’d like to be there fuelling you along that journey, regardless of what it may be.”
The Brave Roasted Peas are now available in 35g packs with a recommended retail price of £1.19.
