Swedish vodka brand Absolut has released a cherry-flavoured edition in time for Valentine’s Day.
Absolut Cherrys “offers the rich character of sun-ripe cherries, followed by notes of fresh white cranberry and sweet plum,” Absolut said. It is made from all natural ingredients, contains no sugar and boats a “warm feel and a long, slightly sweet finish,” the Pernod Ricard brand added.
Adam Boita, marketing controller for Pernod Ricard UK, said: “Absolut Cherrys is a great new addition to our flavours family. Cherry is such a popular flavour that’s ideal for mixing and shows how we are continuing to innovate within the flavoured vodka segment. We’re driven by a passion to transform – to find new and exciting combinations that inspire consumers and bartenders alike to create great tasting cocktails.”
Absolut brand ambassador Rico Dynan added: “Absolut passionately leads the creation of exceptional cocktails. With every new flavour we aim to take the cocktail culture in an interesting new direction. Absolut Cherrys is so multi-dimensional that you can make a sophisticated drink just by adding one ingredient.”
The brand is also introducing a distinctively bottled Warhol variety aimed at the male market, which will be available from Selfridges and Harvey Nichols for £21.99.
Absolut Cherrys will be available at Sainsbury’s outlets for a price of £20.
