Al Bayader International aims to raise awareness of the Modified Atmosphere Packaging technology, which claims to reduce wastage, and to demonstrate how a full system can prolong the shelf life of perishable items.
“MAP technology isn’t widely used in the region and that’s why we will use Gulfood as a platform to display this advanced system of packaging,” said Nidal Haddad, CEO of AL Bayader International.
The company will also reveal its latest variety of absorbent foam trays that are available in different colours and sizes. Designed to keep meat and poultry fresh and neat, the new trays also reduce the attraction of dust and electrostatic charges.
“Participation at Gulfood has become an integral part of the Al Bayader marketing programme,” said Haddad. “Since 1992, we have been using the event to meet with existing and potential clients and suppliers from around the region, and subsequently the world.”
Al Bayader International’s large selection of 1,200 products is targeted at different industries, from hotels to airlines, supermarkets, restaurants, food chains and other caterers.
Gulfood 2009 will take place this year, 23-26 February, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Al Bayader International’s stand is in Hall 2 Stand A2-16.
