Taking in account the exceptional items, its full-year profit rose 52.6% to S$263 million.?Revenue for the year increased almost 26% to S$2.5 billion.
APB said its Singapore unit saw improved domestic and export performance, which helped to contribute 16% to the group’s profit before interest, tax and exceptional items.
Asia Pacific Breweries was founded as Malayan Breweries Limited in 1931, in a joint venture between Heineken and Fraser and Neave, and given its present name in 1990. It currently controls 30 breweries in 12 countries in the Asia Pacific region, selling over 120 brands of beer and beer variants. Heineken is the majority shareholder with a 42.5% stake. Its flagship Tiger beer was launched in 1932.
