Aston Manor Cider has increased its sponsorship investment to enhance the profile already established in Rugby League as part of the growth strategy for the Kingstone Press brand.
Now involved in the sport at every level, including Super League, Kingstone Press will have a presence from the amateur and semi-professional ranks to the England test team. The brand now has a partnership programme with the Rugby Football League (RFL), broader than any previous deal.
The cider has now become an Official Partner of Super League and Challenge Cup, the leading league and cup competitions for club sides in the UK. The relationship with the RFL has also been strengthened by extending the title sponsorship of the Kingstone Press Championship and Championship One.
“Kingstone Press has benefitted enormously from the investment that has established a clear presence with the Rugby League community of clubs and fans,” said managing director Gordon Johncox. “The relationship and our activation have supported the achievement of significantly increased distribution and sales.
“The decision to align the brand with the exciting, popular and growing sport of Rugby League has proved a great move and we are supportive of the recent changes to the league structure which will only help grow the sport.
“We are thrilled with the results delivered so far and look forward to working with our customers to leverage the opportunity created. Being able to extend the breadth of our involvement and confirm that we will support Rugby League through to the end of 2017 is fantastic.”
The deal will see the Aston Manor Cider brand visible on player shirts in every competition, including Super League, online, at stadia, and on match days, with programme advertising as well as a raft of activities that will be developed.
