Already stocked in selected Waitrose stores, Holland & Barrett and some Moto services, the Tesco listing is Upbeat’s biggest and most significant to date.
The news is set to coincide with a nationwide advertising campaign that will build on the success of the initial launch campaign in London and aim to drive brand awareness and support store activation.
“Following the research we’ve done and initial sales, we believe Upbeat will create a new category of healthy drinks providing consumers with a truly tasty and healthy on-the-go drink,” said Mark Neville, owner and director of human nutrition at parent company Volac. “We have big ambition for Upbeat and we see this listing as very significant for the brand and its future growth.”
Upbeat won the ‘Best brand or business’ award at the Beverage Innovation Awards last night at Drinktec 2013.
