When Axellus required a high performance pasteurisation unit to produce a range of natural health drinks, it turned to the Tetra Pak CPS team at Sherborne in Dorset, UK.
Axellus needed a system with consistently high quality output and the flexibility to process different products. In practice, this meant the pasteuriser needed to accommodate a range of holding times and the control had to be sufficiently flexible to manage the various cleaning-in-place (CIP) demands this placed on the whole unit.
An integrated skid unit was manufactured in the Sherborne factory, based around a well proven, highly efficient Tetra Plex plate pasteuriser. A customised software program was also created by Tetra Pak CPS to manage all the control functions.
The complete system was fully tested in the factory before being shipped to Axellus’ production plant at Ishøj in Denmark for commissioning by Tetra Pak.
