Bakery group Puratos is set to continue its expansion into the US with the opening of a new $1.5 million innovation centre in Massachusetts.
The Belgium-based firm, which offers application expertise for artisans, industry, retailers and food service sectors, will create a 5,300 square foot facility that is designed to bring the company’s management, sales, customer service and technical teams together in order to work closer with consumers.
The innovation centre will also provide Puratos’ commercial and artisan customers with access to the very latest industry equipment, expertise and training, as well as in-depth research into international trends.
Puratos Group chief executive officer Daniel Malcorps said: “Helping our customers be even more successful with their businesses is behind our continuing expansion in the United States.
“With this new innovation centre, we want to inspire our customers with better ideas based on consumer expectations, and support them in the development of their products and help them solve technical challenges.”
The firm also has another innovation centre located in Miami, which it built in May this year, and will build another centre in New York in 2018.
