Baxters Food Group has created a limited-edition label for its Royal Game soup cans to commemorate the company’s 150th anniversary.
Royal Game soup was the first soup created by the company, and the tins will feature a contemporary label which is inspired by a design used in the 1930s.
The silver design features the ingredients used in the soup, such as venison and pheasant, superimposed over a sleek silver background.
Audrey Baxter, Executive chairman and Group CEO of Baxters said: “From our inception as a small grocery store in 1868, we have grown into a global food business and we’re proud to be celebrating our 150th anniversary this summer.
“We continue to be inspired by a passion for great tasting food and have developed so many new, innovative products over the years but it seemed fitting to take a look back through the archives to mark this milestone.
“Royal Game was one of the first soups my grandmother Ethel created and the limited edition tin gives our loyal customers an opportunity to share a little piece of our history.”
The limited-edition cans of Baxters Royal Game soup will be available in retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons from mid-July, with a suggested retail price of £1.10 per can.
