India-based coffee roaster Bayar’s Coffee has unveiled a new range of ‘gourmet’ coffee blends called Red Sirroco, produced for the Indian market.
Bayar’s has introduced the range to meet growing consumer demand for premium coffee in the country.
The range will include four different blends, which are all produced using Arabica coffee beans from Columbia, Ethiopia, Kenya and India.
‘Italia roast’ has dark chocolate undertones, ‘alpha roast’ has a hazelnut flavour, ‘first rush’ is blended with caramel, and ‘cinnamon’ has a “berry-like” taste, according to the brand.
Red Sirroco will be sold in Metro and Nature’s Basket stores nationwide, and directly from the company’s online store.
R Nagaraja Rao, director of Bayar’s Coffee said: “More and more coffee lovers are now increasingly exposed to global tastes and flavours in coffee consumption.
“At Bayar’s we have always believed in discovering and delivering premium taste to coffee connoisseurs. We created ‘Red Sirocco’ to offer a luxuriously rich blend that will leave a coffee lover immensely satisfied.”
Bayar’s Coffee has also announced it will establish a coffee-tasting training course based in Bengalaru later this year.
The course will train students to assess the quality of Arabica coffee, detect defects and identify the characteristics of coffee to Speciality Coffee Association of America (SCAA) standards.
