Handing over the first donation of £50,000 at a special event in London, Belu Water CEO Karen Lynch said: “Choosing to work with WaterAid was a very easy decision for us. As the UK’s largest water charity, this partnership will ensure our customers can drink Belu in the confidence they are contributing to the cause of improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world’s poorest communities.”
Each bottle of Belu water will now feature an on-label commitment to donate at least £300,000 to WaterAid projects over three years. Around the world, 884 million people do not have access to clean water and 2.6 billion have to cope without adequate sanitation. Diseases caused by dirty water and poor sanitation kill 4,000 children every single day.
