The ad sees a group of people doing a variety of sporting activities including jumping up to olive trees to collect the finest olives for use in Bertolli spread. Set to lively Italian music, it finishes with the slogan “made with our finest Mediterranean Olive Oil” displayed across the screen.
To support the TV ad, there will also be a two tiered print advertising campaign which launches this month. Fe Tubini-Roberts, brand manager for Bertolli at Unilever UK, said: “Consumer research has shown us that the ‘finest olive oil’ message is appealing to consumers who are looking for a healthy spread with high quality.
“This has led us to the decision to re-run our popular ‘Harvesters’ advert from last year. We have injected something fresh into the ad by using a new voiceover and are committed to driving growth into the Butters and Spreads category in 2012.”
The brand is being supported by £4m total advertising spend in 2012.
