Mixing caffeine and taurine with alcoholic beverages has proven to be unhealthy, leading to the ban of such drinks in the US, with many countries following the Food and Drug Administration ruling.
According to a company spokesman, “The smooth and refreshing taste of Biryt should appeal to all beer lovers. As for energy drink fans, they will get the energy kick they’re looking for without any of the side effects associated with caffeine or taurine.”
Biryt Energy Beer has begun to establish a strong presence in Beirut, where it’s available in some 1,700 pubs, bars, restaurants and stores around Lebanon. The brand will launch in Paris in mid-March, with an expansion to Johannesburg expected in early May.
