Bubs’ Deloraine and CapriLac brand portfolios will be available in China.
Bubs Australia has signed a deal with Alibaba to import a range of adult goat milk products into China.
Under the agreement, Bubs Australia and Alibaba Centralised Import Procurement (CIP) expect to ship adult goat dairy products, including Bubs’ CapriLac and Deloraine brand portfolios, worth AUD 10 million in the first year of the partnership.
Alibaba CIP and its appointed distributor, The Land, will be responsible for promoting and distributing Bubs’ adult goat dairy range across the entire Alibaba online and offline ecosystem.
According to Bubs, China’s goat dairy market is worth AUD 2 billion.
“This collaboration with Alibaba CIP is a very meaningful and exciting development for Bubs,” said Bubs founder and CEO, Kristy Carr.
“There is a huge and growing market for premium adult goat-based dairy products. Now, with the experience of marketing our current adult product CapriLac, we are confident in launching an expanded Deloraine adult goat dairy range in conjunction with Alibaba CIP that will cater to the premium end of the segment.”

She added: “Clearly the Alibaba CIP programme and related platforms have unique reach into the China adult nutrition market – some 700 million active users.”
Dennis Lin, executive chairman of Bubs, said: “It has long been a privilege to work in partnership with Alibaba across our infant nutrition products, and the opportunity to now develop the market for our adult goat dairy range through this master distribution agreement is another step in the growing acceptance of the maturity of our business.”
Founded in 2014 in Sydney, Bubs Australia makes a range of infant nutrition products such as infant formula, baby food, cereals and toddler snacks.
Earlier this year, the company’s joint venture with Beingmate in China, Bubs Organic, secured a strategic partnership with Chinese retailer Kidswant. Bubs Organic food products are now on sale in 275 Kidswant stores in 123 Chinese cities.
