The move, which follows a £2m investment by the contract packer in its Cheshire (UK) plant, is the latest development in the company’s already-broad range of services, which includes glass bottle filling and packing, on-site bonded storage and consolidated product deliveries.
The installation of a brand new filling machine will allow Cobevco to fill a minimum of 200,000 litres of wine each week in bag-in-box format.
The bottler already has several big name wine producers signed up for the bag-in-box service, and more brands looking to amalgamate their filling requirements at one location are in talks to come on board over the next few weeks.
