The donation follows last year’s agreement between Coca-Cola, Ad Lucem and Douala General Hospital.
Under the partnership, Ad Lucem received approximately US$9m worth of medicine, and Douala General Hospital received two 40ft containers filled with supplies and medical equipment valued at US$600,000.
The delegation present at the handover ceremony visited a beneficiary health centre to see the transformational impact the medicines are having on Cameroonian patients. The intervention has gone a long way to improve access to quality health care for needy populations.
The Coca-Cola/CitiHope partnership is based on Live Positively ( Live for a Difference), The Coca-Cola Company’s sustainability commitment platform.
