The company, which employs between 70-100 staff and has operated from Cooroy Mountain since 1991, also includes Wimmers Soft Drinks and Cooroy Mountain Transport.
The group has downplayed the significance of its administrative arm being placed in liquidation, saying its other companies were unaffected by the action.
Cooroy Mountain Services Pty Ltd went into liquidation on 12 June with debts of almost A$1m, more than $850,000 of which is owed to the Australian Taxation Office.
“We urge Sunshine Coast residents to get behind a Sunshine Coast company and buy local products,” said a spokeswoman for the group.
The group’s owner, Greg Dinsey, said the companies had been severely affected by recent natural disasters that occurred during the peak summer sales period. He said that retail sales were at a 50-year low, while soaring sugar prices and increased transport costs had also taken a toll on operations.
