Asian cuisine brand Crazy Cuizine has added two new spicy sriracha chicken formats to its line of premium frozen meals, livening up the frozen food sector.
New honey Sriracha chicken bites and Sriracha chicken potstickers offer “an exciting flavour profile”. The chicken potstickers offer a flavourful twist on traditional dumplings, while the honey chicken bites combine a spicy sriracha taste with sweet honey flavour for “a perfectly balanced tang”. Sriracha is the generic name given to hot sauces or chilli sauces most commonly associated with Thai cuisine.
Launching in retailers this month, both products are free from trans fats and monosodium glutamate, and can be prepared from freezer to table in no more than 18 minutes. Its introduction is built on the emerging popularity of sriracha sauce, driven in part by menu innovations from restaurant chains such as Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Subway.
Day-Lee Foods marketing director David Weinberg said: “Our research shows consumers want bolder, more ethnic flavours and we’re here to deliver. Sriracha has become a very ‘hot’ flavour – and these two new products offer a unique way for fans to enjoy it. There’s a balance of sweet and heat in the honey Sriracha chicken bites, and lots of flavour in the Sriracha chicken potstickers.”
