Dairygold Food Ingredients (DFI UK) has recently implemented Oracle eBiz ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). The ERP applications will support the company’s future growth and facilitate the optimisation of its business processes.
This investment by DFI aims to meet the changing needs of the company, which continues to grow year on year, and reflects DFI’s commitment to ensure a sustainable and efficient business that can meet its future growth plans, the company said.
ERP is an end to end management information system, which means that all of DFI’s business processes – from buying raw materials to dispatching orders at the right time – will be integrated, more efficient and more accurate. It also means that many manual tasks will become automated.
Given its wide reaching scope the ERP applications will yield benefits across the business and many processes will be enhanced as a result of the implementation, including: planning, cost control, managing resources and real time data collection to support quality and traceability of products.
Aidan Fitzsimons, business unit director, DFI, said: “The investment in the ERP system demonstrates Dairygold’s commitment to ensuring that we have a sustainable, efficient and competitive business in the UK. It brings Dairygold UK and Irish operations onto a single IT platform and we look forward to the system facilitating us to better service our customer needs.”
