The Oetker Group’s headline brand, Dr. Oetker, has launched new pizza brand Momenti to offer consumers a single-serving frozen pizza option.
According to Dr. Oetker Momenti, the range has been created to cater to “the growing trend for single eating occasions which runs alongside an ever-increasing consumer interest in health.”
The brand has said that it has identified a gap for pizza within solus eating occasions, taking the place of choices such as prepared ready meals.
Josephine Skinner, senior brand manager – pizza at Dr. Oetker UK, commented: “We’re delighted to bring Momenti to the freezer aisle alongside our family of frozen pizza options. This new brand will reinvigorate the light meal options within the frozen pizza category by offering a portion-controlled option that still delivers on taste and flavour.
“We believe health conscious consumers often reject pizza because its size induces feelings of guilt for either eating too much or guilt for throwing away and wasting a portion they don’t finish. Momenti addresses these issues by providing the perfect pizza for one and we can’t wait to see the reception it receives from UK consumers once it hits the freezer aisle.”
The new brand has three varieties, each of which features Italian deli style toppings. Each pizza is a unique-to-category, smaller sized oval shape and less than 450 calories per pizza, making it suitable for for shoppers seeking portion-controlled options that still deliver on great flavour and taste.
The three Momenti varieties available are Tomato, Mozzarella and Pesto; Salami Calabrese and Grilled Vegetables & Ricotta.
