Criteria for the index included food quality, affordability and stock, as well as diabetes and obesity levels within a country. Switzerland and France ranked joint second and European countries dominated the top half of the table with 39 entries.
Oxfam’s World Food Index contains the most recently available statistics from global data sources, such as the World Health Organisation, and aims to highlight the areas of critical concern within the global food system.
