The solar project is one of the largest roof-mounted solar arrays in Connecticut and participates in the Low and Zero Emissions Renewable Energy Credit Program of The Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P).
Dynamic Energy provided full turnkey services, including engineering, procurement and construction.
“We are thrilled that such a significant portion of our facility’s energy will be supplied by a renewable source,” said Michael Cipriano, vice president of Napoli Foods. “We see our participation in this programme as a win-win for our company, the state and most importantly the environment.”
Napoli’s solar photovoltaic system involved the installation of a roof-mounted, ballasted array consisting of more than 2,900 solar panels. With an anticipated annual production of 1,095,000 kWh, the solar system will effectively eliminate 773 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
