Northern Ireland-based Echlinville Distillery has launched a new ten-year aged single malt Irish whiskey.
New 40% ABV Echlinville whisky is triple-distilled using a traditional Irish method “for a smoother finish”, according to claims on the 700ml bottle. “The 12-year-old malt resides in American oak and embodies a flavour of rich honey notes and vanilla.”
Its introduction follows the success of the company’s Dunville VR whiskey in the best Irish single malt 12 years and under category at the World Whiskies Awards 2015.
Echlinville Distillery founder Shane Braniff said: “This is immensely encouraging business that gives us an important position in a very affluent and discerning market and will help as we seek to expand into other neighbouring countries.
“The recognition in the World Whiskies Awards, the first time we had entered, is another significant boost for our export strategy. The success will be immensely important as we seek to grow sales of Dunville VR. It re-establishes the pedigree of this historic whiskey.”
