Epicurex, manufacturer of organic coconut water Cocozia, will partner with natural and specialty foods distributor UNFI, which will provide Epicurex with a larger network to deliver Cocozia to key US retail chains.
“There were a number of distributors we could have gone with,” said Paul Kilbride, VP of sales, “but UNFI was by far the best fit for us. The larger distribution network is critical for the success of Cocozia, but it’s also about finding a company that we can move forward with. Epicurex and UNFI share a similar mission when it comes to providing all natural and organic products to our customers here in the US. That really sealed the deal for us.”
Cocozia made its debut in 2013 with strong promotion behind it as being USDA Organic and Kosher-certified, as well as Non-GMO Project verified. The success of the original flavour has allowed Epicurex to expand the Cocozia line-up of flavours, which will soon include mango, pineapple, chocolate and coffee.
Epicurex has also announced a distribution partnership with Lone Star Distribution to distribute the natural beverage throughout US (with the launch slated for Florida).
