The Salford-based (UK) company has expanded its global reach by increasing services from Australasia, and has added a series of Australian and New Zealand ports to its schedule, in response to strong customer demand.
EWL customers can now use the company’s logistics expertise from the New Zealand ports of Auckland, Lyttleton, Tauranga and Wellington including Australia’s Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Transit times from these ports to Northern Europe are 33-37 days.
Director of EWL, Philip Edge, said: “We have expanded our Australasia service to handle expanding trade from these countries to China and Thailand, as well as increasing demand from UK food importers for a range of products including lamb, fish, dairy and apples.”
Applying the EWL ethos of using a highly efficient consolidated service, EWL will be able to provide a cost-effective logistics method. This has been shown to save new customers up to £800 per reefer container, the company said.
