Frigoglass Q2 2011 financial results: Consolidated Net Sales increased 36.7% to €322.5m for the first half of 2011. Growth was driven by Cool Operations, where Sales increased 38.5% to €276m, accounting for 85.6% of H1 2011 Consolidated Sales, compared to 84.5% in the prior year. Sales at Glass Operations increased to €46.5m, up 26.8% on the comparable year period, including the one-month consolidation of Frigoglass Jebel Ali, the recently acquired glass container business in Dubai. At a Consolidated level, Operating Profit (EBIT) increased by 22.4% for the first half, to €36.4m, reflecting the effect of the sales growth, partially offset by high levels of input cost inflation and higher production costs to meet stronger than anticipated sales. Net Profit increased by 30.1% to €19.3m in the first half from €14.8m the previous year period.
Nichols plc has announces interim results for the period ended 30 June 2011. Group sales up 14.4%, profit before tax up 20.4%, EPS up 23.8%, interim dividend up 12.4%, net cash of £14.4m (2010: £11.7m).
Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company posts a 3% rise in H1 2011 net sales revenue to €3.4bn, with volume sales also up 3% to 1.04bn unit cases.
Cott Corporation sees Q2 2011 revenue climb 51% to US$640m and filled beverage case volume rise 27%.
Unilever reports a 4.1% increase in H1 2011 turnover to €22.8bn and a 9% growth in net profit to €2.4bn, with the Ice Cream & Beverages division reporting sales growth of 6.4%.
Givaudan records an 8.8% decline in H1 2011 group sales to CHF 2.0bn, with flavour division sales also down 8.8% to CHF 1.1bn.
Chiquita Brands International sees Q2 2011 net sales decrease 5% to US$870m.
